Uncertain location. Scholars propose different sites. The dot marks one proposal.

Israel's first camp west of the Jordan, where Joshua set up twelve stones from the river. Saul was made king at Gilgal and later offered the sacrifice here without Samuel. The site near Jericho has not been found.
