What Naravist stores, and why
No tricks and no data brokering. This page lists what we keep, who else touches it, how long it stays, and how to get rid of it.
Who we are
Naravist is built and owned by Craft75, 2310 Vance Avenue, Suite 202, Chattanooga, TN 37404, United States. Craft75 decides what Naravist stores and is responsible for it. Questions go to help@naravist.com.
What we store when you have an account
- Your account: the email address you signed up with and the display name you choose.
- What you follow, the notes you write on verses, and your reading: chapters and journey stops you mark read, reflections, chapter notes, your year plan, and the verses, people and themes you save.
- Your collections, if you have Premium: the passages you gather under a name.
- Your notification settings and the notifications sent to you.
- When you last used Naravist and your time zone, so reminder emails arrive at a sensible hour and stop when you are active.
- Your profile photo, if you upload one.
- Your billing link: a Stripe customer id, subscription id, plan, status, renewal date, and whether a payment is overdue. For a founding lifetime purchase, the payment id and amount.
- If you buy a gift, your email and account on the gift record. If you redeem one, your account.
- If you have a family plan, the seats on it, any email address you lock an invite to, and which accounts joined. Buyer and members see each other's first names.
- If you open or join a group journey, your membership and, only if you choose, the name other members see.
- If you share or use an invite link, which account invited which, and any credits earned.
- If we give you complimentary Premium, the dates and the reason, in an owner log.
What we store with or without an account
- If you ask for the weekly note: your email address, when and where you said yes, your time zone, and a log of the emails we sent. Without an account, nothing is sent until you confirm by email. Subscribers also get three welcome emails and occasional reminders if a journey stalls or you have been away. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- If you ask to hear when Premium opens: your email address and the page where you asked. That list gets one email, when Premium opens.
- If you turn on device notifications: the push address your browser gives us, the hour and alerts you picked, your time zone, and a count of failed deliveries.
- If you report a problem with a verse: the verse, the translation on screen, what you wrote, the email address you gave for a reply (if any), and your account if you were signed in.
Kept in your browser
The feed cards you have seen, and display settings such as translation, text size and theme. While you are signed out, your saves and reading progress stay here too. Accounts from before August 2026 may also have an older copy of seen cards on our servers. Deleting the account removes it.
What we never store
Your card number, expiry or security code. You type those into Stripe's checkout and they never reach Naravist's servers. Your password is held by Clerk, not by us.
What we do not do with it
We do not sell your data, share it with data brokers, or use it to target advertising. Sponsored messages in the free feed are the same for everyone who sees them, and nothing about you is sent to the sponsor. We do not use your notes, reflections or reports to train AI models. Naravist makes no AI calls while you read. The commentary was written before publication.
Feedback you send
When you use Report a problem on a verse, we save the report in Naravist's admin area and email a copy to our team inbox so a person reads it. If you give an email address, we use it only to answer that report. It does not sign you up for anything. We keep reports so corrections can be tracked. If you delete your account, reports you sent while signed in lose their link to your account and your reply address. The copy already in our inbox stays; write to help@naravist.com if you want it removed.
Who else touches it
Naravist runs on a small set of services. Each gets only what its job needs.
- Clerk runs sign-in. It holds your email, name, sign-in details and profile photo, and uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots on the sign-in form.
- Convex is the database and backend that stores everything listed above.
- Stripe takes payments and runs the billing portal. It receives your email and internal account id at checkout, and keeps its own customer and invoice records.
- Postmark sends the emails you asked for, account notices such as a failed payment, and copies of verse reports to our team inbox.
- Your browser's push service, such as Apple, Google or Mozilla, delivers device notifications you turned on.
- Vercel hosts the app. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views with the page address, referring site, country and device type. It sets no cookies.
- Sentry receives error reports so we can fix crashes: the error, the page, your browser, and your internal account id if you are signed in. Never your email or notes.
These services, and the data they hold for Naravist, are in the United States.
Diagnostics
The app records usage and error events to help us find problems. An event holds a random session id, the event name, the time, the page, your browser's user agent, and what it concerns, such as a verse, journey or person id, or an error message. Some events also carry your internal account id. A visit from a promotion may include its campaign labels. We do not record what you type into search for this. The session id resets when you close the tab.
While you are signed out, this browser also keeps a random device id so we can count how many visitors come back a week later. It is sent at most once per visit, on its own, with no session id, account or campaign. Signing in deletes it, a new one replaces it every 30 days, and none is made if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Clearing this site's data also removes it.
Cookies and browser storage
Clerk sets the cookies that keep you signed in. Naravist sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The app uses your browser's local storage for the settings, seen cards, signed-out progress and device id described above.
Your controls
From the You tab you can update your details, change your profile photo, turn each notification channel on or off, unfollow anyone, delete individual notes, and export collections if you have Premium. For a copy of anything else we hold about you, email help@naravist.com.
Delete Naravist account, on the You tab, removes your profile, notes, follows, collections, reading progress, notifications, profile photo, email preferences, invite records, family seats, groups you lead, and diagnostic events tied to your account. A subscription is canceled right away. Founding lifetime and gift Premium end.
What stays after deletion:
- Your sign-in with Clerk, so signing in again starts a fresh, empty account. To remove it too, write to help@naravist.com.
- Payment records: Stripe's customer and invoice records, and our record of any lifetime or gift purchase with your account id removed.
- Owner log entries for Premium grants and refunds on your account.
- Emails already sent, and diagnostic events that never carried your account id, until they age out.
- Weekly-note or Premium sign-ups you made while signed out. Unsubscribe from any email, or write to help@naravist.com to remove them.
How long we keep things
- Account data: until you delete the account.
- Diagnostic events: 90 days.
- Account ids in our internal business totals: up to 35 days.
- Sentry error reports: Sentry deletes them after its retention period.
- Unsubscribed email addresses: kept, marked unsubscribed, so we never email them again.
- Verse reports: kept so corrections can be tracked, without your account link once you delete your account.
Children
Naravist is not built for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has an account here, email us and we will remove it.
Changes and contact
Naravist is in beta, so this page will change as the app does. When it changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top.
Questions about your data, or a request to export or delete something? Email help@naravist.com and a person will answer.
