Nazareth
Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
A village in the hills of lower Galilee. Gabriel was sent here to Mary, Joseph and Mary lived here, and Jesus grew up here, so that he was called Jesus of Nazareth. He was rejected in its synagogue after he began to preach.
