Mahanaim
Approximate location. The area is clear, but the exact site is not.
A town in Gilead near the Jabbok. Jacob met angels here and named it "Mahanaim". Saul's son Ish-bosheth later ruled from here, and David came here when he fled from Absalom and was fed by Barzillai and others. The exact site is debated.
