Ephesus
Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
The chief city of the province of Asia. Priscilla and Aquila taught Apollos here, and Paul stayed more than two years and left after a riot. He later asked Timothy to stay at Ephesus and charge some to teach no other doctrine.
