Succoth
Approximate location. The area is clear, but the exact site is not.
A town east of the Jordan near the Jabbok. Jacob built a house here and "made booths for his cattle", which gave Succoth its name. Its princes refused bread to Gideon's tired men, and when he came back from the battle he punished its elders with thorns and briers.
