Tahpanhes
Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
A town in the eastern Nile delta. Against the word of the Lord, Johanan led the remnant of Judah into Egypt with Jeremiah and Baruch, and "thus came they even to Tahpanhes". Here the Lord told Jeremiah to hide great stones at the entry of Pharaoh's house, where Nebuchadrezzar would set his throne.
