Approximate location. The area is clear, but the exact site is not.
Joseph settled his father and brothers "in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses". Generations later, on the day after the first passover, Israel set out from Rameses toward Succoth under Moses. The dot marks Qantir in the eastern delta, the usual site of the city.
