Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
A port on the coast south of Ephesus. Hurrying to reach Jerusalem by Pentecost, Paul stopped here, and "from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church." He spoke to them and prayed with them all, and they wept as he left. Paul also wrote that he left Trophimus here sick.

For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
