King's Valley

Uncertain location. Scholars propose different sites. The dot marks one proposal.

Also called "the valley of Shaveh". The king of Sodom came out here to meet Abram after he rescued Lot, and Melchizedek king of Salem brought bread and wine and blessed him. Absalom later set up a pillar here to keep his name, because he had no son. The site is unknown, and the dot marks Jerusalem.
