Carmel in Judah
Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
A town in the hills south of Hebron, not the northern Mount Carmel. Saul set up a monument here after fighting Amalek, and Nabal kept his sheep here. After Nabal died, David sent for Abigail at Carmel.
