Zebulun

Zebulun is Leah's sixth son born to Jacob. When she names him, Leah speaks of God's gift and hopes that her husband will dwell with her because she has borne him six sons. Genesis names Zebulun's sons as Sered, Elon and Jahleel, and Exodus includes him among Jacob's family who came to Egypt. Jacob's later words associate Zebulun with the seashore, ships and a border toward Sidon. They are words addressed to the son, not a narrated account of him working as a sailor.
