Asher

Asher is Zilpah's second son born to Jacob. Leah gives him his name, speaking of her happiness and saying that women will call her blessed. Genesis names his sons Jimnah, Ishuah, Isui and Beriah, along with their sister Serah, in the KJV. Exodus includes Asher among Jacob's family who came to Egypt. His own story is brief; many later references concern the tribe, its territory and people descended from him.
