Ramah
Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
A town of Benjamin on the road north of Jerusalem. Deborah judged between Ramah and Bethel, and Asa had the stones Baasha used to fortify it carried off. Jeremiah was released here from his chains. Samuel's home town Ramah may be a different place.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after that Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
