Hazor
Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
A great Canaanite city in upper Galilee, "the head of all those kingdoms". Joshua took and burned it, a later king of Hazor oppressed Israel in Deborah's day, and Solomon rebuilt it. Excavations at Tel Hazor show a large city.
