Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
The northernmost city of Israel, at a spring of the Jordan. Abram chased the kings who took Lot as far as Dan, and Jeroboam set one of his golden calves here. The phrase from Dan to Beersheba came to mean the whole land.
