Azekah
Identified location. The site is known today and most scholars agree on it.
A fortified town of Judah in the lowlands. When Joshua routed the Amorites at Gibeon, Israel chased them as far as Azekah, and the Lord "cast down great stones from heaven upon them". The Philistines later camped between Shochoh and Azekah before Goliath came out against Saul's army.
