Uncertain location. Scholars propose different sites. The dot marks one proposal.
A town east of Bethel. Israel's first attack on Ai failed, and Joshua then took it by an ambush and burned it. The site is debated. Et-Tell, the usual candidate, shows no town in Joshua's time, so some scholars look elsewhere.
