Nahshon

Nahshon is Amminadab's son and Elisheba's brother. Numbers names him for Judah among the men appointed to stand with Moses and identifies him as Judah's captain in the camp arrangement. He brings the first day's offering for the dedication of the altar. When the camp sets out, Judah's standard goes first, with Nahshon over its host.
