Ithamar

Ithamar is a son of Aaron and Elisheba, named with Nadab, Abihu and Eleazar. Exodus includes him among Aaron's sons called for priestly service and names him in the accounting of the tabernacle work. After Nadab and Abihu die, Eleazar and Ithamar continue to minister before Aaron. Numbers places the service of the Gershonite and Merarite families under Ithamar's direction. It also records four wagons and eight oxen given to the Merarites for their work under his hand.
